Salary: £50,000-£60,000

Location: London (Hybrid)

As a Quantitative Strategist, your key focus will be to help deliver data and insights into every stage of the project (be it designing a new product, service, platform, or business ecosystem) as well as simultaneously helping design broader business strategies and roadmaps for execution.

Quantitative Strategists work at the intersection of strategy and design to drive competitive advantage and strategic innovation, whilst constantly being connected to the consumer experience and insights underpinning the user value. As a Quantitative Strategist, you will work within a team with a broad set of user-centred design skills to bring a variety of concepts, experiences, and solutions to life and into the market.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in innovation projects from start to finish, alongside members of the I&I team, including working with external partners
  • Help co-create new consumer experiences, products, services, platforms, or business ecosystems
  • Help develop the strategy and business proposition that underpins a new idea
  • Identify and help develop a go-to-market roadmap for a new solution
  • Work with other members of I&I throughout the innovation process to develop user-centred concepts, driven by the functional value proposition
  • Develop techniques to test new insight and concept output from the Innovation process in as ‘real world’ a way as possible in order to create compelling business cases
  • To bring specialisms of strategy to bear on their colleague’s projects, whilst effectively engaging the other team member’s capabilities (i.e. design research, industrial design, communication design, strategy)
  • To support the team in the proposing, winning, and managing of Innovation projects

Requirements:

  • Experience working full-time in a related field: quantitative design research, brand strategy, service design with a business focus, business design, start-up/incubator role with a business design focus, business development, transformation and growth, business planning
  • Understanding of strategy, quantitative research, and business knowledge, first and foremost, with some understanding of design
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, discipline is not important
  • Must be able to demonstrate experience in working with market and business data in relation to new product (or service) development
  • Systems thinking and interest in bringing ideas to market (creating new solutions, launching new products, etc.)
  • Business acumen; knowledge or exposure to strategy, marketing, finance, operations, product development etc.
  • Must be highly creative, innovative and design/consumer minded
  • Must have good presentation skills
  • Should be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and last-minute changes
  • Must be flexible to travel
