Role: Senior Systems Engineer
Location: Biggin Hill | Hybrid
Type: 12 Month Contract (Can be made Perm)
Day Rate: £600-£700 (Inside IR35) – Negotiable on experience

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic, focus-driven Senior System Engineer with a passion for all aspects of embedded electronics to complement their small and efficient team of systems, hardware, and embedded software engineers.
The Engineer will need to produce a wide range of bespoke solutions to support the timing, televising, and organisation of our client by architecting and designing embedded systems to provide team telemetry and driver/engineer audio, and to deliver on-board video and audio for our client’s broadcasters and digital platforms.
Experience and Skills:
- Operating knowledge of Linux OS and experience using Linux command line interface and Linux kernel driver development.(Required)
- Architecting or assisting in the design of embedded systems. (Required)
- Strong background in the electronics engineering domain, with experience in embedded systems development and support, especially full lifecycle. (Required)
- Engineering design of products with electronic elements and components. (Required)
- Working with networking and serial protocols (e.g. Ethernet, CAN, RS232); video encoding (e.g. H264) and transmission protocols (e.g. MPEG TS); and RF systems. (Desirable)
- Integration of embedded software with digital or analogue hardware. (Desirable)
- Developing for an RTOS (such as QNX). (Desirable)
- Using MATLAB and Simulink. (Desirable)
- Development with the Xilinx MPSoC family. (Desirable)
- Python, C and schematic capture/PCB design. (Desirable)
Qualifications:
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent vocational and industry experience) in electronics engineering (or suitable equivalent, such as mechatronics)
Must be willing to travel internationally (organised by the company)
Must have a British Passport, ILR Status, Graduate Visa until 2025 or Global Talent Visa.
