The Role: SAP FICO Consultant

Type: Perm

Salary: £65,000 – £70,000 + 10% Bonus + Benefits (Salary Negotiable)

Location: London | Hybrid (3 days in office with Occasional travel to their Basingstoke Office for meetings)

Acting as the in-house expert and champion for SAP Finance and Sales & Distribution areas, you will be playing a major role in proactively capturing the requirements, creating the functional specifications, configuring the system, and designing the solutions for the enhancements to the existing SAP solution and the accompanying business processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Configure S/4HANA FI & SD modules to deliver measurable improvements to the business.
  • Liaise and communicate with business owners and stakeholders on initiatives prioritised within the product portfolio and recommend business process solutions & improvements enabling the organisation to achieve its goal.
  • Analyse, validate, and document requirements for changes to business process.
  • Ensure our SAP technology investments and products are well integrated across the business to create efficiency, enable growth and lower support costs.
  • Prepare and deliver FI & SD related workshops to support the continuous improvement change requests and projects.
  • Create functional specs to translate business requirements ready for developers to take into development.

  • Validate delivery estimates & timescales of our external SAP partner
  • Unit test and facilitate/support system integration & user acceptance testing working closely with QA lead in creating testing steps
  • Support Regression testing and automation, when needed
  • Create training materials and provide training to end users as required
  • Develop a broad understanding of FI & SD processes and its integration points with adjacent applications within the internal SAP community
  • Document, maintain, and keep business process mappings & data flows up to date

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, IT, Business Administration preferred)
  • Rather significant/demonstrable experience in S/4HANA FI & SD configuration with significant solution delivery experience
  • Preferred Certified SAP FI & SD qualification
  • Experience in standalone Change Request implementation as well as being a lead SAP FI & SD specialist working on 4-5 full life cycle of SAP projects
  • Understanding of various other adjacent SAP modules and their touch points to FI & SD (Knowledge and exposure to EWM being an advantage)
  • Experience of writing business requirements, functional system design & technical/configuration documentation
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills demonstrated through high quality documentation of requirements, use cases, solution design, testing scenarios and testing outcomes
  • Demonstrable ability to build and maintain good business relationships and proven stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Demonstrable ability to effectively engage and lead cross-functional teams
  • Experience in both waterfall and agile analysis and project management techniques
  • Experience of using work management tools such as Jira
  • Experience in the Wines/Spirits/Drinks industry would be beneficial but not essential
