Future Channel is a new team in the Retail & Digital Division that will look at how customers will shop using our stores and eCommerce channels over the coming 5 to 10 years. The division is responsible for exploring customer and technology trends, developing strategic solutions for our channels to serve our customers and delivering those plans.
The Channel Development Manager role is responsible for the delivery of key outcomes that contribute to the success of our online grocery strategy through exploring opportunities, new technologies and third-party relationships to build best-in-class colleague and customer experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the development and delivery of operational and strategic projects within a transformed fulfilment operating model and online grocery proposition
- Structure problems, develop hypotheses and design analyses to assess opportunities, inform recommendations and validate solutions
- Build effective relationships within the Future Channels team and key functions throughout the business with whom we work (e.g. Ops development, Strategy, Technology and Customer) to understand business challenges and requirements
- Stay close to market developments, fulfilment strategies, technology trends & news and proactively share examples of best practices within the team
- Work within a cross-functional workstream to develop solutions ensuring that issues are identified, prioritised, and analysed
Responsibilities:
- Experience in designing and delivering strategic end-to-end change in a Retail environment preferably with some online fulfilment experience
- Sound operational and commercial judgement with the ability to prioritise and deal effectively with fast-changing scenarios and to ensure that decisions are made and communicated in a timely manner
- Strong people skills and ability to effectively engage colleagues & stakeholders across the business
- The ability to synthesise complex problems or decisions
