Location: Australia (Hybrid Model)

The role requires a special mix of over 10 years’ Electrical/Control/Commercial Engineering exp. & at least 3 years of leading/managing a team.

We are looking for someone with experience auditing sites to understand the site’s processes and flexibility and then assist the sales efforts by providing technical support and joining commercial meetings to get an opportunity over the line. You are ideal for this position if you have a background in Automation with strong knowledge of PLCPLCsSDs, and network protocols. You must also have strong electrical knowledge with experience in speaking CTs for the correct points of monitoring. Practical experience in this area is a must.

Responsibilities:

  • Engaging the Sales team & clients to remove technical barriers.
  • Auditing potential customer sites to realise the opportunity there and understand the installation involved if the opportunity is progressed.
  • Contribute to the proposal process.
  • Liaising & coordination of multiple stakeholders’ sales, account managers, operations; deployment team & clients to define solutions and communicate it
  • Coordinate & manage ongoing customer post sale queries ensuring site opportunities are delivered to all stakeholders.
  • Creating & coordinating project documentation: RAMS, Timelines, Work specs for engineers and third parties, Control Specs, presentations, etc.
  • Ensure deadlines are met, scheduling meetings as required.
  • Day-to-Day Communications with clients handling any issues and install queries.
  • Communication of project expectations to all stakeholders.
  • Monitoring deviations & communicate to customers quickly & professionally
  • Liaising & coordinating multiple stakeholders’ sales, Account Managers, Operations; Deployment team & clients.
  • Leading Program & Project Management
  • Manage customer deployment escalations & negotiate resolutions.
  • Continuous innovation & improvement during the customer lifecycle
  • Improving processes & procedures where required.
  • Commercially contributing to rolling out of new services to customer base.
  • Leading & managing technical staff.
  • Engaging sales & clients by removing technical barriers.
  • Working with potential customers to engineer solutions using the electrical setup/control already on site.
  • Communication with account mgrs/customers to clarify assumptions, ensure deadlines are met, and schedule meetings as necessary.
  • A key part of the role is the communication of project expectations to all stakeholders.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, technology business & can work flexibly across a range of responsibilities & challenges.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of Electrical Engineering/Automation experience
  • Ideally over 3+ years in a team leadership role.
  • Degree in related engineering/business; Masters a plus.
  • Strong technical / engineering understanding of automation/control in the manufacturing or industrial space.
  • Experience in technically supporting the sales effort

  • Willingness to travel as required – up to 80%.
  • Maintain high productivity, manage multiple priorities, and work effectively under the pressure of time constraints in a fast-paced creative environment.
  • Report generation to board level standard.
  • Advanced knowledge of M/S Office suite essential.
  • A can-do, energetic person with excellent interpersonal skills & someone who loves managing a dynamic team.
