The Role: Inside Sales Development Representative

Contract: Perm

Salary: Up to $45,000 (USD)

Location: Briarforest, Houston, TX, US (Hybrid)

Start date: ASAP

The primary purpose of the Sales Support Analyst is to provide support for sales and marketing activity – translating our highly targeted Marketing approach into meaningful conversations with potential clients and partners. This includes market research and analysis, internal sales coordination, customer relationship management, sales administration and support, and other functions related to direct and indirect sales.

What are we seeking

The candidate shall support several sales personnel by driving the internal sales process including:

  • Lead generation through continuous research and analysis to build on a pre-existing CRM database
  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound calls and emails
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales resource for further development
  • Participate and contribute to company meetings, conference calls, and other activities
  • Attend targeted local and regional industry association conferences and tradeshow events
  • Salesforce administration including building detailed, standardized reports and dashboards on sales pipelines
  • Work closely with the Sales team to facilitate business development, manage pipelines and deliver results
  • Coordinate with Marketing to develop and implement promotional campaigns for the territory

What you will have

  • BS/BA degree in Business Administration, Energy Management or related degree or at least five years of B2B experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – able to confidently present sophisticated/technical concepts to a wide variety of stakeholders including tenants, engineers, facility managers and CFOs
  • Ability to influence and negotiate throughout the complex, technical sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders
  • Solid experience in opportunity qualification, pre-call planning, call control, account development, and time management
  • Strategic thinker, with operational delivery capability
  • First-rate customer management skills, coupled with strong listening and communications skills
  • Professional individual – articulate, honest, innovative, client-service orientated and dedicated to improving the energy markets for clients
  • Highly motivated individual and enthusiastic about green energy and technology
  • Team player, able to work both individually and on team projects
  • Commercially aware
  • Well-honed interpersonal skills
  • Strong IT skills especially regarding the use of Microsoft Office Suite and the Internet

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Salesforce
  • Direct work experience in energy markets
  • Knowledge of the US electricity deregulated markets
  • Strong client-service orientation, ability to work well with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Strong knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques
